Kaso Jogi “The Gate”
2016 – A made-in-Japan original musical for the world
Kaso Jogi is raising its sails.
At a young age, a man lost his sister to the sea.
He brought his sister out although he knew he shouldn’t have gone, and spent his life tortured by the feeling that her death was his fault.
At middle age, as he has been downsized from his job and is currently looking for work, he moves to a tiny, cheap apartment near a train station.
This is the point where many things begin to happen to him.
A group of strange people comes to his apartment and they forcibly begin living there with him... before long he realizes that he's been thrown out into the middle of the wilderness. What is this place?
In the wilderness he meets a single wandering woman. The woman says they're in Saitama. Not the suburb of Tokyo, but a second Saitama, existing somewhere in the world. Now, what awaits him next?
